First up on the blog this week is an outfit post I had put together before venturing out for late night shopping at Chadstone. The aim of the outfit was to create a simple and clean look, soft with minimal details as far as the eyes can see.
The dress I wore here was purchased from Pilgrim about 2 weeks back which had been heavily discounted to about 40 dollars at Myer. The black and white contrast works well with most other earth tones had you choose to match it with.
Next up are the Windsor Smith shoes I mentally pictured to match the black rectangle in the centre of the dress. From a frontal position, she carries a simple, classic cut but when you turn her aside, she’s got a heavy big chunk of attitude. That definitely gave me some mixed feelings so I decided to take her home for about $100 with 30% discount at a VIP night in Melbourne Central. (I couldn’t find the link to this item on WS website so I guess they’re either sold out or discontinued.)
The bag I’m carrying here is the Leg Lth Mini Tanner. I purchased this one at a Coach store in Hong Kong with 48% off the original price for about $300AUD. Many people think Hong Kong is a retail haven and I think that belief can put you off guard in many instances where you can easily source the same item online for a very similar price, if not in most cases, at a lower price tag.
If you scroll through eBay, the same bag is on Buy-It-Now option for $299 including postage (in other colours). So really, next time you’re out shopping for brands that don’t normally have a fixed price, pull out your phone and you’ll be a few clicks away from saving a bit or a lot of money because you’ll either buy it online, or forget to buy it when you get home altogether.
The last piece I have here is my beloved leather jacket I got from Bardot a few years back. I’ve worn this jacket many times in the past due to its versatile ability to dress up or down with just about everything in the wardrobe. This baby costed me half an arm and a whole leg during the poor dark, dark uni days. Fortunately, the investment was very well worth it.
And now because you’ve taken the time to read allll the way down to here, I’ll confess that I indeed did not wear my Windsor Smith shoes out that night simply because it really isn’t made for strolling around the shopping centre for several hours at a time. Nevertheless, I’ll be sure to take her out to town for a spin soon during more of a sit-down, stand-up situation.
Til next time,
:)
